M.E.Y. started making commercial mowers and edgers in the mid-1980's. A smaller 20" mower is the closest they ever came to making a domestic machine but even this machine was characterised by the extreme heavy-duty and commercial feel found in the rest of the MEY range. Model changes have been rare with a range overhaul in 2000 and the retirement of single-clutch models being the only real changes in the MEY history. MEY ceased production in Bayswater (WA) in 2014.
